TABLESCAPES THURSDAY

BABY CAKES 1ST BIRTHDAY


Hey Y'all come on in the party is just getting srarted...

Look Look I have balloons...


Baby cakes Aunts and soon to be Uncle made the cookies... The little Monkey cake is Baby cakes... her daddy made it just for her...He saved this cake recipe for two years befor Baby cakes was born , so that he could some day make it for her Birthday...



This cake, Baby cakes daddy made for all her guest at her party...







Lots of finger foods...


Miemie ( that would be me) made the party mix...


Dip and crackers...




Miemie made the spooky ghost punch...It was a hit with all the little folk...


I put the punch in my vintage punch bowl pattern Block... You may have seen all my Block depression glasses...Love this pattern.





Baby Cakes loved her little Monkey cake ...Made just for her by her sweetest daddy...

I think she is trying to tell you that she is having so much fun and that she is so happy that you could stop over to help her celebrate...







Yes there was lots of candy...

  9. This made me happy. This is just how a 1-year-old's party should be, and just how I did them for my kids. So many people don't take the time anymore to do it this way...I love it!

  15. Babycakes is a girl after my own heart in her pearls--never too early for those! She is so precious and I am SO impressed with the cake made by her DADDY!   17. This was such a memorable occasion. The cake is perfect as is the punch. Your use of hammered aluminum and milk glass made me oh so happy as they are two of my favorite collectibles. Happiest of birthdays to your adorable little sweetheart.

  19. Oh, what lovely pictures...Happy 1st Birthday, Baby cakes...she is such an adorable little girl! I'm so glad to see Lucy getting into the party spirit too. I think Lucy's such a classy lady and I wish she would have won! I love Corgies ...they have the sweetest faces...a big dog face on a smaller body - the perfect house companion ;-)

    I noticed a vintage aluminum ice bucket and a tray in the pictures. Do you collect aluminum pieces as well as depression glass? I'll have to check out some of your older posts to see more of your Block collection.
