PINK SATURDAY

Pink Saturday, is graciously hosted by Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound. Be sure to visit Beverly's beautiful blog to see a complete list of all the participants in today's Pink Saturday.

We're getting close to October, which is National Breast
Cancer Awareness Month. You'll soon be seeing pink ribbons--the symbol of support for breast cancer awareness and research--just about everywhere, and you can create a few of your own with the Pink Ribbon Cookie Kit. The kit includes everything you need to make dozens of pink ribbon cookies: not only does it offer a cookie cutter, but it also has sugar cookie mix, icing, pink food coloring, and pink sprinkles. King Arthur, the company behind the Pink Ribbon Cookie Kit, is known for selling great cookie mixes that are just as easy to roll and cut as homemade cookie dough--and the final product tastes pretty great, too.
The Pink Ribbon Cookie Kit allows you to support breast cancer research in another way: King Arthur donates 10 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the kit to foundations that raise funds both for breast cancer research and patient outreach. King Arthur does have other cookie-making kits available, but those kits do not support such a great cause. The kit is priced at $19.95.

  11. Those cookies really do look great. On the topic of breast cancer awareness, I invite you to check out this video -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/6789 -- about a very special woman's "aha moment" that led her to literally walk around the world for the cause. I think you'll enjoy it and find her story very inspirational.

    All the best,
