Some of you know that October 24 was my Birthday..... That morning I got up early to go to yard sales... I had been out for about an Hour when my cell phone rang...It was my 15 year old daughter asking where I was..... She had spent the night at a friends house the night before....So I ask her where she was, she said that she was at home .... She had two of her good friends with her and she told me I needed to get home as soon as I could... When I got home they were waiting for me... They had gone out and bought me flowers....
Made me a card.....
And had my favorite coffee and a chocolate donut waiting for me.... It brought me to tears..what a sweet bunch of kids... By now I know you are asking what does this have to do with Pink Saturday....? Well just wait it is coming... Now at our home we do birthday dinners.... So now we have my birthday dinner and what did I get????
My kids have been teasing me for years that they were going to get me a snuggie.... I would laugh and tell them I DO NOT WANT AN UGLY SNUGGIE... They would all laugh and say but Mom you know that you are always cold... So I am now the proud owner of an ugly Snuggie....We all laughed so hard... They had me put it on and we all laughed some more....Now I will tell you that they are pretty warm.... Oh and it gets better....
Yes... if you have been following this blog then you had to know what was coming next...
That's right not one ...but two snuggies....

Yes Miss Lucy has her very own...

I do wish that I had ask for a snuggie sooner...

How sweet is that... two cutie pie girls in there pink snuggies!
ReplyDeleteLucy looks like she is all warm amd comfy.
Oh that poor little dog...mine would have that off so quickly. She doesn't even like it when the doggy beauty shop sends her home with a seasonal scarf around her neck! It sounds as if you have a wonderful daughter and family. Happy Belated birthday.

Oh Julie...
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is this? Happy Pink Saturday sweetie, and HP to Ms Lucy also. She is a star hit today with her little Snuggie, and now she won't be cold either. You should have asked for one of those a long time ago, if not for you, then for Ms Lucy.
Love the flowers and coffee and a doughnut? Boy you really raked in the goods for your birthday. I am going to have to complain, I didn't rake in that good on my birthday.
Happy late birthday sweetie, and Happy Pink Saturday. Stop by and say hi. I so love the company. Country hugs...Sherry
